Classification standards of clean rooms
‌ISO standard‌: Proposed by the International Organization for Standardization ISO, it is divided into 9 levels, from class 1 to class 9. Among them, class 5 is equivalent to class B, class 7 is equivalent to class C, and class 8 is equivalent to class D. The airborne particle level of class A clean area is ISO 4.8, class B is ISO 5, class C is ISO 7 and ISO 8, and class D is ISO 8.
‌American standard‌: Originally proposed by the United States, it is divided into 100, 10,000, 100,000, etc. These levels are divided based on the particle concentration in the air, and the smaller the number, the higher the clean level.
‌China GMP standard‌: The 2010 version of GMP stipulates that clean areas are divided into four levels: A, B, C, and D. Class A is suitable for high-risk operation areas, class B is the background area, and classes C and D are suitable for low-risk operations.
