Activated Carbon Filter Media Roll

Activated Carbon Filter Media Roll is a flexible black filter media used as an odor reduction layer in air purifier filters, fresh air units and general ventilation equipment.

Unlike a finished filter cartridge, this product is supplied as roll media, sheets or cut pads. Buyers can use it for local cutting, filter assembly, OEM replacement filters or as a carbon layer inside a composite air filter.

The media is mainly used to help reduce unwanted odors and adsorb certain gas-phase contaminants in indoor air systems. Its actual performance depends on the activated carbon type, carbon loading, media thickness, airflow, humidity, pollutant concentration and replacement cycle.

This product should not be described as a HEPA filter, washable filter or guaranteed formaldehyde removal filter unless the specific test report is available.

 

 

 

What This Media Is Used For

This activated carbon filter media is suitable for projects where the buyer needs a flexible carbon layer instead of a rigid honeycomb carbon block or a finished filter cartridge.

The media is supplied as a black flexible sheet or roll. It can be cut into different sizes and combined with other filter materials, such as non-woven pre-filter media, pleated particle media or frame structures.

Depending on the selected material specification, the carbon may be carried in or combined with a fiber-based media structure. The exact carbon content, thickness and base material should be confirmed before quotation.

Because this is a material product, the final filter performance is not determined by the roll media alone. The finished filter structure, airflow path, sealing condition and equipment design also affect the final result.

If your project requires a ready-to-install filter, please provide the equipment model or old filter sample. If you only need the carbon layer material, roll media or cut pads may be more suitable.

Air Purifier Filter Manufacturing

This media can be used as the carbon layer in air purifier filters where odor reduction is required. It may be combined with particle filter media or a pleated filter layer depending on the final product design.

Fresh Air and Ventilation Units

For fresh air systems or ventilation equipment, activated carbon media can be used as a gas-phase adsorption layer when the project needs basic odor control.

Custom Filter Pads

The media can be cut into pads for equipment with simple holding frames or replacement slots. Size, thickness and packing method should be confirmed before production.

OEM Replacement Filters

For OEM filter projects, the media can be supplied according to roll width, cut size, packing method and customer item code requirements.

Activated carbon is mainly used for odor reduction and adsorption of certain gas-phase contaminants. It should not be described in the same way as particle filtration media.

The following points should be confirmed carefully:

Carbon performance depends on carbon type and loading.

Higher airflow may reduce contact time.

High humidity may affect adsorption behavior.

Different gases require different carbon selection.

Carbon media has a service life and should be replaced when adsorption capacity decreases.

A fixed removal rate should only be written when supported by a matching test report.

For formaldehyde, VOC or other specific gas removal requirements, please confirm the test standard and report requirement before ordering.

Actual carbon content, thickness, adsorption performance and pressure drop should be confirmed according to the selected media specification and test data.

For filter manufacturers and OEM buyers, the right media should be selected according to the final filter design, not only by color or product name.
