Product Introduction
Air intake filter screens are mounted on the fresh-air side of air handling units, louvers or make-up air systems to stop larger contaminants before they enter the ductwork. This model uses a rigid metal mesh pack inside a metal frame, so instead of changing disposable panels every time the intake gets dirty, the screen can be taken out, cleaned and put back in service.
Typical uses include AHU fresh air sections, intake grilles on rooftop units, and factory make-up air in workshops or spray areas, where dust, insects, fibres and light debris would otherwise plug coils or overload finer filters.

Installation & Maintenance
Installation
Check the frame size and airflow direction before installation.
Slide the screen into the intake frame or track, making sure all four sides sit square and tight.
If the frame uses clips or fasteners, lock them so the screen cannot move or rattle during operation.
After installation, confirm there are no visible bypass gaps around the panel.
Cleaning & Reuse
Inspect regularly according to site conditions (from monthly in dusty environments to longer intervals in cleaner locations).
When the screen is visibly loaded or when pressure drop reaches your internal limit, stop the fan and remove the panel.
Clean with water (and mild detergent if needed) or use compressed air from the clean side outwards.
Allow the screen to dry fully, then reinstall in the same position.
With sensible cleaning intervals, a washable air intake filter like this can remain in use for a long period before physical wear and tear calls for replacement.

Applications of air intake filter screens
1. AHU Fresh Air Intakes
Mounted in the fresh-air section of air handling units
Keeps insects, leaves and visible dust out of coils and drain pans
Used in office buildings, hotels, hospitals, malls and public facilities
2. Factory Make-Up Air & Plant Ventilation
Installed on intake grilles for factory or workshop ventilation systems
Helps protect downstream filters in machining shops, fabrication plants and general manufacturing
Works well where dust levels are higher and intake filters need to withstand rough conditions
3. Spray Booths & Surface Treatment Areas
Used at air intakes for spray paint lines and surface treatment zones
Screens off fibres and coarse dust that would otherwise land on wet coatings
Easy to remove and wash between production runs or when contamination builds up
4. Commercial Parking Garages & Utility Rooms
Fitted on outdoor intake openings for car parks, generator rooms and utility spaces
Helps prevent paper, leaves and loose debris from entering ducts and fans
Suitable for areas where maintenance teams prefer a simple, washable screen that can be checked during routine inspections
Exhibitions & Trade Shows
We actively participate in key global trade shows annually to showcase innovations, build partnerships, and stay abreast of industry trends: At ISH Frankfurt (the world's top HVAC&R expo), we launch next-gen metal mesh filters-like high-temp models for industrial use-and host tech seminars, driving 20% EU market growth. At HVAC&R Expo (USA), we highlight UL-certified, energy-efficient filters with on-site wash-reuse demos, securing 15+ bulk orders yearly from U.S. clients. The Canton Fair (China) lets us display our full range, engaging buyers from 80+ countries and converting 30% of leads into long-term partnerships. At Interclima (France), we present CE/RoHS-compliant, low-energy filters, adding 12+ new EU partners yearly. These shows blend demos, expert talks, and negotiations, turning global exposure into tangible business growth.

Client Collaboration
A Sri Lankan customer delegation recently visited our company for a two-day visit and exchange. The delegation toured the production workshop, R&D center, and quality control laboratory, inspecting the entire production process and gaining an in-depth understanding of our corrosion-resistant metal treatment process and automated pleating technology.
During the exchange, the two sides discussed topics such as HVAC system filtration requirements in tropical climates and optimizing filter durability in high-humidity environments. We demonstrated the high-pressure washing and reuse process for stainless steel filters and specifically demonstrated a dust filtration solution for tea plantation workshops. The customer highly praised the product's temperature resistance, recyclability, and ISO 9001 quality control system, and reached a preliminary consensus on customized sizes and localized after-sales service.
This visit deepened the customer's understanding of our company's technical strength and laid the foundation for future cooperation in the South Asian market.

FAQ
Q: Are these air intake filter screens washable?
A: Yes. They are designed to be washed and reused. Cleaning can be done with water or compressed air, and with proper handling the screen can go through many cleaning cycles.
Q: Can you make custom sizes?
A: Yes. Most orders are actually made to size. You can send drawings, a size list or photos of the existing intake frame, and we will produce screens to match.
Q: What information do you need for a quotation?
A: Face size (length × width), frame depth, mesh opening (if you have a preference), frame material, approximate airflow and application (e.g. AHU intake for office, factory make-up air, spray booth, etc.).
Q: Can these be used alone as the only filter?
A: In some industrial or utility systems, they are used alone as a coarse screen. In comfort HVAC or cleanliness-sensitive applications, they usually work as a primary pre-filter in front of bag, panel or other higher-efficiency filters.
