Products Description

high temperature furnace filter bag

High-temperature furnace dust collector filter bags are used in industrial baghouse systems where hot gas, fine dust and continuous cleaning cycles place higher demands on the filter media.

Unlike standard HVAC pocket filters, these filter bags are designed for dust collection systems used around boilers, smelting furnaces, kilns, foundries, waste treatment lines and other high-temperature industrial processes.

For this type of product, the correct selection depends on more than size. Gas temperature, dust type, moisture, chemical composition, cleaning method, baghouse structure and required service life all need to be checked before production.

ZOSLONG can supply custom filter bags according to your existing baghouse drawing, old bag sample or filter bag list.

Why Furnace Filter Bags Need Careful Selection

Furnace and boiler dust collection systems often operate under more difficult conditions than normal ventilation systems.

Common challenges include:

•Higher gas temperature

•Fine and abrasive dust

•Moisture or condensation risk

•Acidic or alkaline gas components

•Frequent pulse-jet or mechanical cleaning

•Limited shutdown time for replacement

•Strict fit requirements inside the baghouse

Using the wrong filter bag may cause early media damage, high pressure drop, poor dust release, bag deformation or leakage around the bag top.

That is why we do not recommend choosing this product only by price or by a simple "high-temperature bag" description. The working conditions must be checked before confirming the media and sewing structure.

Filter Media Options

Different working conditions require different filter media. The final media selection should be confirmed according to the actual gas temperature, dust characteristics and chemical environment.
Media Option Typical Use Direction Notes
Fiberglass High-temperature dust collection Often used where temperature resistance is important
Aramid Industrial dust collection with heat resistance requirement Suitable for many dry industrial dust applications
PPS Flue gas and industrial dust collection Often considered where chemical resistance is required
P84 Fine dust and high-performance dust collection Usually selected for demanding filtration conditions
PTFE Membrane Lamination Better dust release and surface filtration Used when lower emission or easier cleaning is required

The available media and treatment should be confirmed before quotation. Different materials have different continuous temperature limits, chemical resistance and cost structures.

Top and Bottom Design

The top and bottom design must match the existing baghouse structure. A small mismatch may cause leakage, difficult installation or early failure during cleaning cycles.

Common top designs include:

•Snap band top

•Steel ring top

•Flange top

•Rope top

•Raw edge top

Customized top structure

•Common bottom designs include:

•Sewn disc bottom

•Reinforced bottom

•Double-layer bottom

•Customized bottom design

If you are replacing existing filter bags, please send photos of the old bag top, bottom and cage. This helps us confirm the correct structure before production.

Where Our Furnace Bag Filters Are Used

These Furnace bag filters shine in high-temperature, dust-heavy industrial settings-here's where they're making the biggest difference:

Industrial heating plants: From boiler rooms to large-scale heating systems, these facilities churn out high-temperature flue gas mixed with ash and grit. Our filters' 250-260°C heat resistance and abrasion-resistant media stand up to constant exposure, keeping airflow clean without breaking down.

Metalworking furnaces (steel, aluminum, etc.): Steel mills and aluminum smelters deal with molten metal byproducts-think flying steel shavings, oxide dust, and high heat. The layered fiber structure traps even fine metallic particles, while the sturdy frame holds up to frequent vibrations, reducing filter replacements in busy production lines.

Power generation facilities (coal-fired, waste-to-energy): Coal-fired boilers spew hot, corrosive soot and sulfide particles; waste incinerators produce complex, high-temperature fumes. Our stainless steel frame option resists corrosion here, while the high dust-holding capacity (8kg/m²/hour) means fewer shutdowns for filter swaps-critical for keeping power output steady.

Other high-heat dust zones: Think foundries, ceramic kilns, or chemical processing furnaces, where temperatures spike and dust (like silica or chemical residues) threatens equipment and air quality. The filters' low wind resistance ensures systems don't waste energy, even under heavy use.

Manufacturing and Quality Control

chemical process filter bags

For industrial filter bags, manufacturing consistency is important because the bags must fit the cage and tube sheet correctly.

Our production and inspection process may include:

Media confirmation

Fabric cutting

Top structure preparation

Bag body sewing

Bottom reinforcement

Seam inspection

Size inspection

Top and bottom fitting check

Label and quantity check

Packing inspection before shipment

For project orders, we can mark filter bags by size, baghouse area, customer item code or replacement list.
